'Raksha Bandhan' these two words indicated the depth of love in the brother-sister relationship. Raksha Bandhan is basically a North Indian festival but happiness can be seen all across the country. When I went to Santiniketan for higher education I used to know Tagore's vision of celebrating Raksha Bandhan. That was totally different. According to him 'Raksha Bandhan' is not only a festival of the siblings but it's a celebration of humanity and of mankind. In today's context, Tagore's vision is very much relevant and applicable. His thought encourages us for a harmonious social life.
